The World Keeps Turnin'

A quick word from our mystical poet Trevor Hall!

The world keeps turnin'
It gets merry like a merry go 'roundIt gets cold like a frozen winterWell I change like summer fallBut I know love is all in allSeeds we're always sowingThe grace is always blowingWe've just got to lift the sailAnd we're bound to hit the shoreWe'll finally calm this storm...

  1. Great posts on U2 and Matisyahu.
I'd love to read your thoughts on Mumford and Sons and Bob Dylan!
Thank you so much for writing this blog. One of my lifelong delights is to meditate on the spiritual interpretations of great songs, so my mind was a little bit blown to find this blog. It'd be so cool if you would write about: "Let It Rain" by Eric Clapton, "I Know You're Out There Somewhere" by the Moody Blues, or "Lonely People" by America. Thanks again :)

  2. Hi Bridget,

Thanks so much for the comment and thoughts. Great tunes you mentioned by the way! I absolutely LOVE Mumford and Sons and their music is dripping with spiritual themes and influences. A few things for you:

My friend Christopher has a new book coming in January that I think will be right up your alley! Here's the Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/Fill-These-Hearts-Universal-Longing/dp/0307987132

And here's the official website: http://www.christopherwest.com/books/fill-these-hearts/

Also, I do a quick radio piece on Sacred Heart Radio (http://sonrisemorningshow.blogspot.com) each month on the first Tuesday at 7:10am EST. Each month is a different popular tune, and we've covered Mumford and Sons in the past!

Thanks again for the good song picks. Keep your ears open for more!

    Peace,
    Bill
